I’m back with a new book review. Enjoy!
Titel: To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before
Author: Jenny Han
Publishing Date: April 15th 2014
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.
I’ve seen this book a lot on Bookstagram and it seemed a very cute read for me. So when I saw this book at the bookstore I bought it on a whim in case I wanted to read a cute contemporary. And let’s be honest here, I always enjoy a cute comtemporary.
The mother of Margot, Lara Jean and Kitty died years ago and together with her dad, Margot takes care of her two younger sisters. She’s very caring and actually a perfect mom. She’s always strong for her sisters and never shows them when she’s hurt. But then she goes to college and leaves her family behind.
Lara Jean and Margot aren’t just sisters, they’re also best friends. They don’t have any secrets for each other. Lara Jean feels abandoned by sister when she leaves but she tries to be as strong as her for their little sister, Kitty.
When you read the synopsis you may think it’s only about love and boys, and of course it is a big part of this book but family is also very important. Their family really sticks together and there’s nothing that can break the bond betweet the three sisters.
t was a very enjoyable read and there were even some funny moments. If you’re looking for a book with deep meaning this probably isn’t for you but if you just want to have a good time reading a good story you should definitely pick this one up. 🙂
That was this week’s review! I hope you enjoyed and I will see you on Wednesday (hopefully, because I have yet anothe bussy week ahead of me)
